· Graphics and Design: Can they do custom graphics that load quickly or are they strictly a scan and template designer? Graphics on the Internet have a limited resolution, but a good designer can scan and get a fairly crisp image. Custom graphics add quality and originality.

· Marketing and Meta: Do they know and understand the importance of Internet marketing and Meta tags? Proper order and understanding of Meta tags is crucial to your ranking in the search engines. Another key marketing point: Does your designer work with bridge pages?
